Soap Making Classes
Intro to Basic Cold Process Soap Making at Goose Ridge Soaps
Have you ever wanted to try making your own REAL soap from scratch but found working with lye scary and intimidating? Are you interested in learning a "new" skill or just want to have a unique night out?
Soap Ladies Janice and Kim are excited to share their knowledge of soap making with you! Our Basic Cold Process Soap Making Classes provide hands-on instruction in the art of soap making, just like our grandparents did it. Spend 2-2 1/2 hours one evening and learn the basics in a real soap production studio.
Basic classes are offered monthly and are open to anyone 18 and over with the purchase of a ticket. The cost is $60/person and each student will get to take home a small batch (7-8 bars) of soap to cure after 48 hours.*
*Classes are held in one evening, but the soap can not be unmolded for about 48 hours after it is made. You will need to return at least 48 hours later to pick up your soap to cure at home. If you are unable to return, we are happy to ship your soap to you for an additional small shipping fee. Soap must cure at least 2 weeks after it is cut, but we HIGHLY recommend curing for at least 4 weeks before use for longer lasting bars.
